How this site handles your information
This site is operated by Jerry Ilao (jerryilao.com). The short version: the only personal information collected here is what you type into a form, plus standard website analytics. It is used to send you what you asked for and to improve the site. It is never sold. You can ask to see it, fix it, or delete it at any time by emailing jerry@olern.com.
What is collected, and when
Forms you submit
When you sign up or send an inquiry (newsletter, webinar seat, booking, training, or the contact form), the site collects the details you provide: your name, email address, and any message you write. Each submission also records which form and page it came from, so the reply matches what you asked about.
The free AI assessment
The assessment asks thirteen questions about your business and, at the end, your name and email so the full result can be sent to you. Your answers and your level are included with that submission. The link to your full result encodes your answers in the link itself; anyone you share that link with can see that result, so share it as you would any private link.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and features are used — page views and events such as opening a sign-up window or completing a form. Analytics uses cookies and collects device and usage information (such as browser type, approximate location, and pages visited). This data is aggregated; it is not used to identify you personally. A small notice on your first visit points here.
Hosting logs
The site is served through Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes IP addresses and request logs to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
There are no user accounts, no payments collected on this site, and currently no advertising pixels. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.
What your information is used for
- To send you exactly what the form promised: your assessment result, the newsletter, webinar details, or a reply to a booking, training, or contact inquiry.
- To follow up on that request, for example emails related to the topic you signed up for. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is honored immediately.
- To understand what content is useful and improve the site.
Submitting a form is treated as your consent to receive the emails that form describes. Each form states what you will receive before you submit. Consent is recorded with its date and source, and withdrawing it later (unsubscribing) is always available.
Where your information goes
Form and assessment submissions are stored in a customer-relationship system operated by Otoma — Jerry's own company, disclosed as his wherever it appears on this site. Emails you have consented to receive are sent through that system's email provider. Analytics data is processed by Google; hosting and delivery by Cloudflare. These providers may process data on servers outside the Philippines; they are bound by their own security and privacy commitments.
Your information is never sold or rented. It is not shared with third parties beyond the service providers named above, unless required by law.
How long it is kept
Contact records are kept while they are relevant to the purpose you gave them for: as long as you remain subscribed, or as long as an inquiry or engagement is active, plus a reasonable period afterward. Unsubscribed addresses are retained only to honor the unsubscribe. You can request full deletion at any time.
Your rights under the Data Privacy Act
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), you have the right to be informed about how your data is processed, to access a copy of it, to correct it, to object to or withdraw consent from its processing, to request its erasure or blocking, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email jerry@olern.com with the request; expect a response within a reasonable time, and identity may be verified before records are released. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
Cookies
The site sets analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and uses local storage for small conveniences, such as remembering that you dismissed the cookie notice. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions travel encrypted, and access to stored contact records is limited to the people who need it to respond to you. No system is perfectly secure, but reasonable organizational and technical measures are in place, and any breach that affects your data would be handled per the Data Privacy Act's notification rules.
Children
This site is for business audiences and is not directed at children. No data is knowingly collected from minors; if you believe a minor has submitted personal data, email the address above and it will be deleted.
Changes to this policy
If data practices change — a new tool, a new processor, an advertising pixel — this page will be updated and the "last updated" date revised before the change takes effect. Significant changes will be noted plainly at the top of this page.
