## The 4A Blueprint (framework summary)

- Level 1 — AI Assistants: AI helps people complete their own work; a person directs the work and reviews the result, using individual AI tools or shared assistants built with reusable instructions, skills, and company knowledge. Output sophistication does not raise the level; how responsibility for the work is organized does.
- Level 2 — Workflow Automation: AI does the thinking inside a predefined workflow the business depends on, started by a person, a schedule, or an event, and run without someone driving every step, with human review where needed. Optional for many businesses; not every company needs this level.
- Level 3 — AI Agents & Orchestration: AI takes responsibility for a defined job or goal and decides which steps and tools to use within boundaries people set; people set expectations, supervise performance, and approve consequential actions. Building something in a product called an "agent" does not establish Level 3 by itself; choosing steps toward a goal does.
